MarketWatch – Nancy Davis told MarketWatch that stagflation is challenging for traditional portfolios divided 60% to stocks and 40% to bonds. Nancy added that IVOL aims to hedge against rising fixed-income volatility. The fund holds inflation-protected securities and has exposure to the differential between short- and long-term interest rates.
Rising interest rates can hurt the value of fixed income securities. Additionally, inflation can erode the purchasing power of the fixed payments of bonds. IVOL provides:
